Unlock Your Energy Potential: 8 Powerful Ways to Heal Your Chakras
What are Chakras?
Chakras are energy centers in your body. Seven chakras run along the length of your spine and end at the top of your head. Each of these chakras is associated with a different color and a specific element. If your chakras are out of balance, they can cause difficulties with mood, focus, and overall health.
The good news is that each chakra has a healing intention, meaning there are ways you can bring your chakras back into balance and feel better as a result. Most people decide to focus on the first three chakras (root, sacral, and solar plexus) and the last four (throat, heart, crown, and third eye).
The root chakra is all about survival and having a sense of safety and stability in the world. The sacral chakra is about creativity and sexuality, and the solar plexus chakra is about self-esteem and self-worth. When these chakras are out of balance, it can lead to stress, anxiety, and depression.
It’s ok if you have doubts about the concept of the chakra system. The energy fields and ideas can be a useful metaphor and symbol for healing (read our article on energy healing for skeptics).
How do you know if your Chakras are Out of Balance?
The best way to tell if your chakras are out of balance is to take a look at your physical and mental health. If you’re feeling anxious or depressed or having trouble focusing, it’s a good sign that your chakras could use some healing. You may even feel like there is a block or disruption in the flow of energy in your body or in your surroundings.
To start with chakra balancing, try taking an inventory of your chakras to see where you could use some extra energy. If you notice one of your chakras feels weaker than the others, it’s likely being affected by an imbalance. If you’ve noticed any of these issues, it might be a sign your chakras need some healing love. If you notice that one of you

Harmonising Chakras with Solfeggio Frequencies
Solfeggio frequencies are a set of specific tones believed to impart spiritual blessings when sung in harmony. These frequencies were used in ancient Gregorian chants and are believed to have a profound healing effect on the mind, body, and spirit.
Each Solfeggio frequency corresponds to a specific chakra and can be used to balance and heal that chakra. By listening to the appropriate frequency, one can stimulate the corresponding chakra and help restore it to its optimal state of balance.
The six main Solfeggio frequencies and their associated chakras are:
- 396 Hz – Root Chakra – The root chakra, also known as Muladhara, is associated with the feeling of safety and grounding. This chakra is stimulated by the solfeggio frequency of 396 Hz, which is said to help with anxiety and fear. Tuning in to this frequency can help ground and stabilise us, connecting us to our natural state of feeling safe and secure.
- 417 Hz – Sacral Chakra – The solar plexus chakra, or Manipura, is linked to our power, will, and determination. The solfeggio frequency of 528 Hz stimulates this chakra, associated with personal power and confidence. Tuning in to this frequency can help us reconnect with who we are, make decisions from a place of strength, and enhance mental clarity.
- 528 Hz – Solar Plexus Chakra – The solar plexus chakra, or Manipura, is linked to our power, will, and determination. The solfeggio frequency of 528 Hz stimulates this chakra, associated with personal power and confidence. Tuning in to this frequency can help us reconnect with who we are, make decisions from a place of strength, and enhance mental clarity.
- 639 Hz – Heart Chakra – The heart chakra, or Anahata, is associated with our ability to love both ourselves and others. The solfeggio frequency of 639 Hz is said to heal old wounds and foster relationships based on love and understanding. It also helps us connect with our higher self, opening our hearts to giving and receiving love.
- 741 Hz – Throat Chakra – The throat chakra, also known as Vishuddha, is responsible for our ability to communicate our needs and desires. The solfeggio frequency of 741 Hz stimulates this chakra, helping us express our authentic voices and connect with our higher selves. This frequency can also aid with creative visualisation and manifestation.
- 852 Hz – Third Eye Chakra – The third eye chakra, or Ajna, is associated with our ability to see clearly, both physically and intuitively. The solfeggio frequency of 852 Hz can help open up our intuition, allowing us to see things more clearly. It also aids with meditation and relaxation.
- 963 Hz – Crown Chakra – The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, represents our highest state of consciousness and our connection with the Divine. The solfeggio frequency of 963 Hz stimulates this chakra, helping us connect with the Divine and our higher selves. Tuning in to this frequency can promote feelings of peace and bliss, aligning us with our spiritual purpose.
While these are the main frequencies associated with each chakra, other frequencies can also have beneficial effects on the chakras.
Reiki Healing: How Does it Work?
What is Reiki healing, how does it work, and what results does it bring?
Reiki healing can be achieved through touch – by laying-on-of-hands or through distance as in prayer. Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy.
A Reiki healing session is typically one hour long, and much of that time is spent in focused intention to bring about physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. Many Reiki practitioners also set intentions/pray before and during a Reiki healing session, asking for Universe/Nature’s help to accomplish the requested healing. A Reiki practitioner uses Reiki healing to consciously direct universal life energy that affects the electromagnetic fields surrounding the person to bring about balance and stimulate their body’s own natural healing ability.
Reiki healing works by releasing blockages in the aura, and around as well as inside the organs that disrupt the flow of chi or energy. After blockages are released, the Reiki practitioner fills in the area with the higher vibrational energy of Reiki. The results received vary by session and individual. Reiki practitioners can never promise any specific results, but the more that the receiver intends to be open to the energy, the more energy will flow. Most people feel deeply relaxed and sleep better after a Reiki healing session and might also feel more peaceful and happier.
